Our Piles of Rubble

This past summer we saw several abandoned warehouses catch fire, including one which was a 12 alarm fire. One was found to be set by a homeless squatter, the origin of the others was not fully discovered, to my knowledge. The city, or owners of those properties, still have not cleaned up those burned piles of scrap and brick. Its a pretty ridiculous site to see in the middle of a city, still sitting there.

But on the upswing, its an abundant source of free brick! When Walsingham was here, they used the burned warehouse brick for a project in our back alley, making a brick paver. Always a silver lining!
